Born into a military family and steeped in decades of service, Major Mackenzie Carver was a stand-out figure among those who served with him. That was before his employment with the Office of Requiem and the events surrounding the disappearance of Agent Maxis.
Now, stripped of his rank and incarcerated by the mysterious Director, Carver mourns the destruction of his distinguished military career, but refuses to slip into bitterness. Having maintained the physical and mental discipline needed to face the Dark Aether, he remains confident that one day he will escape from his prison, clear his name and reclaim his reputation and his former life.
